Sam Thaiday Crowned King Of The Jungle 2025.

February 17, 2025

Meet Your Champion Of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

With the votes closer than ever, Sam Thaiday has been crowned winner of the 11th season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winning $100,000 for his chosen charity, Find Ya Feet.

In the final days in camp, our resilient final three, Sam, Reggie Bird, and Matty J, reflected on the highs and lows of living in the middle of the South African jungle, the countless meals of rice and beans, and the trials and challenges they each overcame.

To celebrate the massive achievement of making it to the finale, the trio were also surprised by their loved ones in camp, bringing the smiles and tears in equal measure. Sam’s wife Rachel and daughters Ellsie and Gracie met him at the waterfall, Reggie’s daughter Mia and sister Anita surprised her at the creek, and Matty’s wife Laura and daughters Lola and Marlie-Mae greeted him in camp.

While all our celebs were overjoyed to be reunited with their families, there was one last trial to get through, the Hot Tub Slime Machine. Relaxing in a hot tub full of rotten eggs, kale, elephant poo and – of course – their favourite rice and beans, the celebrities’ loved ones answered questions earning them stars for their final dinner in camp.

With their hearts full, our trio returned to camp to reflect on the bonds they had formed with one another, sharing their appreciation for one another.

Then, it was time to crown our winner, and while the vote was incredibly close it was Sam who was crowned our King of the Jungle for 2025. Sam’s time in the jungle was in support of Find Ya Feet, an organisation dedicated to empowering future generations.

“Tommy [Herschell] is an absolute legend of a man. I’ve been able to be a part of his workshops previously. His goal is to offer a platform for individuals to share their stories and equip them with the skills to be able to own their problems. He helps provide tools that enable them to shift that ‘get on with it’ culture well after the workshop pulls up.

“Their vision is to empower every individual with the tools and skills they need to engage in conversations that go well past ‘How are ya?’ I wish I had a mentor like Tommy to come and talk to me as a 13-year-old boy. His workshops give especially young boys a chance to share their emotions in a safe space without judgmental criticism,” Sam explained.

“In 2007 I lost one of my best mates to suicide. If he had a mentor like Tommy at such a young age it could have helped him develop the skills to share stories and lessen the burden he felt, maybe Joey would be here today.”
